JOB STATUS: Full time (40 hours/week), 12 Months Per Year starting As Soon As Possible
LOCATION: Marshall or Willmar, MN
SUPPORT EMPLOYEES THROUGH BENEFITS THAT MATTER. The Benefits Specialist is the go-to guide for all things benefits—keeping programs organized, supporting employee changes, and making sure benefits are clear, accurate, and easy to use. This role helps employees get the most out of the benefits that work for them.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Keep Benefits Running Smoothly: Handle the day-to-day details of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, disability, workers’ comp, FMLA/LOA, and wellness programs.
• Support Wellness & Vendors: Coordinate the wellness program, collaborate with the wellness committee, and be the main contact for benefits vendors.
• Manage Benefits Administration: Oversee enrollments, updates, COBRA, and claims, along with monthly billing and plan reviews.
• Be a Go-To for Employees: Guide employees through annual enrollment, answer benefit questions, and share helpful information and training.
• Keep Records Accurate: Maintain benefits and payroll records, process employee changes, and manage FSA/HSA reporting and deposits.

• You work well solo and on a team: You’re comfortable managing your tasks independently while also collaborating with others when needed.
• You stay cool under pressure: You can juggle multiple priorities, stay organized, and keep things moving in a
fast-paced environment.
• You understand HR basics: You have working knowledge of HR principles and federal and local employment regulations.
• You’re tech-savvy: You’re comfortable using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum: High school diploma or GED with two (2) years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
