Behind The Game: Women In Sport Shadow Experience

In collaboration with the celebration of Women in Sport Game on February 26, 2026, the Ottawa Senators are hosting an incredible one-day job shadowing program for aspiring sports leaders. Follow along with the women of the Ottawa Senators to see what a day in the life looks like!  

When:             Thursday, February 26, 2026

Where:            Canadian Tire Centre

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll have the chance to shadow one of the incredible women who help power our organization across the following departments:

Communications

Sales

Event Marketing

Fan & Community

Senators Community Foundation

Social Media & Digital Communications

When you arrive at the Canadian Tire Centre in the afternoon, you’ll dive behind the scenes to learn more about the organization and connect with inspiring women from across the team. You’ll then meet your mentor and shadow them as they gear up for game day, getting a firsthand look at the creativity, coordination, and energy that go into making it all happen.

You’ll stay with your mentor through the game until the end of the first intermission, after which you’ll be invited to remain and watch the game as a guest.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insights and a deeper understanding of the sports industry by learning from and shadowing some of the best women in the field, both before and during game day.
