âť“About the Role:Â
The Behavioral Health Tech Lead provides both direct client care and informal leadership within the residential treatment setting. In addition to supporting clients with daily living, safety, and recovery routines, this role ensures shift operations run smoothly by coordinating staff assignments, monitoring adherence to program expectations, and serving as the first point of contact during incidents. The RSS Lead provides onboarding, training, and mentoring to new team members, reinforcing trauma-informed care, boundaries, de-escalation, and adherence to facility standards. This role acts as a bridge between frontline staff and supervisors, fostering a structured and recovery-oriented environment that prioritizes patient safety, dignity, and engagement. recovery challenges.
🗝️ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Mentor peers in boundary-setting, crisis de-escalation, and patient experience standards.
Serve as the first point of contact for incident response, coordinating appropriate escalation and documentation.
Monitor staff adherence to schedules, shift routines, and program expectations.
Support AMA “swat team” interventions to reduce client attrition.
Provide Certified Medication Aide (CMA) support if credentialed.
Report operational needs, staffing gaps, and incidents to the Supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
Model professionalism, teamwork, and trauma-informed care in all interactions with clients and staff.

âś…Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 21 years of age.
Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 daysÂ
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to pass background checks and motor vehicle screening.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in human services, or related field.
1+ years of experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or residential services.
CNA and or QMA
Experience or knowledge of 12-Step programs, peer recovery principles, or dual diagnosis treatment.
Personal or professional experience with recovery (minimum 2 years sustained recovery if applicable).

🏢Work Conditions / Physical & Mental Demands
Environment:
Indoor residential treatment setting with moderate activity level.
Physical:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to assist clients in physical tasks and respond to emergencies.
Cognitive/Emotional:
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in fast-paced settings.
Maintain professionalism with clients experiencing withdrawal, emotional distress, or crisis.
Sustain focus for documentation and monitoring responsibilities.
