Battery Van Operator

We’re looking for a customer-focused Battery Van Operator to join our team at Astro Towing. No prior roadside experience required — we’ll train you. If you enjoy working independently, solving problems, and helping people during stressful situations, this could be a great fit.

About the Role

As a Battery Van Operator, you’ll drive a company van to assist customers with common roadside issues such as battery boosts or replacements, tire service, and vehicle unlocks. You’ll be the person who helps drivers get moving again when they’re stuck.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in providing friendly, reliable service.

Shift Schedule

12-hour shifts, starting at 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m.

7 days on / 7 days off rotation

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing roadside assistance safely and professionally

Helping customers with battery boosts or replacements, tire service, and vehicle unlocks

Delivering friendly, respectful customer service

Keeping your service van clean, fueled, and ready for calls

Using our mobile app to track jobs and payments

Collecting payments when required

Following company policies and safety procedures

Assisting around the yard or shop during slower periods (snow removal, cleaning, basic maintenance)

What We’re Looking For

Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver’s license

Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana)

Friendly, customer-first attitude

Basic mechanical skills (additional training provided)

Ability to stay calm under pressure

Comfortable using smartphone or web-based apps

Professional appearance

Self-motivated and able to work independently
