Battery validation Engineer

Based in Grenoble and Dunkirk (France), we have recently started operations our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).

We now focus on building the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.

In joining us you will actively participate in this breathtaking industrial adventure to shape the future of European mobility.

Responsibilities : :
• To lead the cell validation
• To develop validation methodology
• To set the validation specifications
• To report the validation status in the scope of the project development
• To report failure root cause analysis of cell and suggest design/process improvements
• To build a supplier's network for cell validation

Prerequisites : :
• MSC or PhD in materials science or electrochemistry with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Li-ion cell and/or module development
• Li-ion cell and/or module testing (environmental, mechanical, electrical characterization, cycling, storage)
• DFMEA, root-cause analysis (8D report)
• APQP
• Experience with Li-ion cell and/or module modeling would be a plus
