SUMMARY:
Provide friendly, courteous beverage service and beverage preparation. Ensure all bar guests meet age requirements for the purchase of alcohol and tobacco. Proper beverage pouring and dispensing polices. Cash and Credit Card handling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Acknowledge and greet all guests promptly
Check and maintain supply of all beverage cups and glassware and food service supplies as specified
Cleans and wipes down all bar tops, underbars, counters, floors, and all equipment to ensure every surface is free and clean of debris
Cleans and maintains all food prep and display equipment
Knowledge of MICROS/POS system
Knowledge of cocktail and drink terminology and preparation
Insures correct cocktail/drink call list procedures
Performs necessary side work, pre-shift work and shift completion work
Prepares and serves menu items as specified
Provides service to guest ordering menu
Wipes all bottles clean before leaving at the completion of each shift
Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policies and procedures
Promotes Positive Customer relations, greets guests and creates friendly atmosphere
Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
Anticipate and Execute excellent guest service through up-beat positive attentiveness
Ability to multi-task high volume activity, payment transactions, cash and credit card carry as payment and/or comps
Basic mathematic abilities
Basic money handling
Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policy and procedures
Ensures safety, cleanliness and customer satisfaction
Ability to describe all specials and meal items
Ability to take orders efficiently
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of (1) year high pressure, high volume bartending experience (preferably casino)
Minimum of (1) year cash handling experience.
Minimum of (6) month’s customer service experience in a high volume operation required. (Casino experience preferred.)
Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Must pose excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to work flexible schedules.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and the tribal gaming commission licensing.
Tribal preference.
TRIBAL PREFERENCE POLICY:
Members of the Jena Band of Choctaw Tribe shall be given absolute preference with respect to hiring, promotions, training, contracting, and separation from employment. For persons who meet the minimum qualifications, preferential treatment shall be based on the following criteria and shall be given in the following order:
Enrolled members of the Jena Band of Choctaw tribe who satisfy the minimum job qualifications
Spouses of enrolled members of the Jena Band of Choctaw who satisfy the minimum job qualifications

EDUCATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) Required
Minimum of (1) year high pressure, high volume bartending experience (preferably casino)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires being mobile 100% of time
May work in dimly lit/Smokey area.
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Must be able to tolerate extensive background noises and still maintain calmness and courteousness.
Require to lift/push or pull at least 25lbs.
Requires regular, consistent attendance.
Work area may be small with heavy production.
Temperatures may vary associate will have constant contact with guests and other team members.
