The Island Chapter

Luura begins its journey in Paros with two distinct yet connected expressions.

Luura Paros Cliff, opening May 2026, features 39 thoughtfully designed rooms set above the sea.

One year later, Luura Paros Sand follows with 49 additional rooms and a collection of vibrant food and social spaces that capture another rhythm of the island.

Your Role in the Story 

As a Barback at LUURA, you are the backbone of the bar operation. You support the bartenders by ensuring the bar is fully set up, stocked, clean, and ready for service at all times. Your work behind the scenes enables the bar team to deliver a seamless, high-energy guest experience. 

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility. You will play a key part in maintaining LUURA’s and Rika’s service standards by keeping the bar running efficiently before, during, and after service. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support bartenders during service by ensuring all materials, tools, and supplies are available when needed 
• Prepare the bar mise en place, including glassware, ice, garnishes, juices, and equipment 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and preparation areas throughout service 
• Clear, wash, and organize glassware and bar equipment promptly 
• Dispose of waste, manage recycling, and participate in regular deep cleaning of bar areas 
• Restock beverages, bar supplies, and consumables as required, keeping storage areas tidy and organized 
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, ensuring the bar is ready for the next service 
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing beverage deliveries 
• Prepare basic hot and cold beverages as required 
• Follow all health & safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service guidelines 
• Comply with LUURA SOPs, policies, and local regulations at all times 
• Work closely with the bar and service teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow

Who We’re Looking For 

• Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is a plus, but not essential 
• Good understanding of bar operations and willingness to learn 
• Basic knowledge of food & beverage service and hygiene standards 
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong teamwork and communication skills 
• Ability to follow instructions and work with attention to detail 
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift items as required 
• Oral proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus). 
• Eligible to work in (EU) countries. 
• Hands-on, results-oriented, and proactive in managing multiple F&B outlets and teams. 
• Committed to creating exceptional, memorable guest experiences that reflect brand values. 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, people-first environment, balancing operational demands with team development.
