Chelsea Hospitality Group (CHG) is a family-owned hospitality company based in New Jersey, dedicated to creating world-class food and beverage experiences. CHG’s latest project in Morristown, NJ involves managing multiple food and beverage outlets within a sustainably built, mixed-use property. These outlets include a ground-floor restaurant, conference catering, pantry services, and pop-up concepts.
What You’ll Do:
As a Barback / Bar Production Assistant, you’ll support both the bar, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for our guests. This hybrid role is ideal for someone looking to grow in both culinary and beverage production, with a strong desire to learn the craft of cocktail ingredients and bar prep.
• Assist bartenders with setup, restocking, cleaning, and maintaining a clean, efficient bar environment
• Prepare and batch cocktail ingredients with accuracy and speed, following recipes precisely
• Support bar production, including basic cooking, ingredient prep, and maintaining bar organization
• Demonstrate strong knife skills and safe food handling practices
• Collaborate across teams to ensure bar operations are running smoothly
• Maintain a clean and organized work station in both front- and back-of-house areas
• Take initiative to learn and grow in both culinary and beverage disciplines
• Uphold CHG’s standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
• 1+ years experience in a well-rated restaurant
• Interest or experience in bar prep, knife skills, and/or bar production
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions quickly and accurately
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Warm, guest-oriented attitude and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
• A collaborative, team-first mindset
