Koko by Bakan – Coconut Grove

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and hardworking Barback to join our team at Koko by Bakan in Coconut Grove. This role is essential to supporting our bartenders and keeping the bar running smoothly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Wash, polish, and organize glassware continuously throughout service

Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times

Support bartenders by restocking:

Ice

Liquor, beer, wine, and mixers

Cups, napkins, straws, and bar supplies

Prepare fresh juices, syrups, and drink garnishes

Assist with opening and closing bar duties

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Work closely with bartenders to ensure efficient and timely service

Requirements

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Availability to work lunch and dinner shifts

Must be available on weekends and holidays

Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight

Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail

Previous restaurant or bar experience is a plus, but not required

Responsabilidades Principales

Lavar, pulir y organizar los vasos continuamente durante el servicio

Mantener el área del bar limpia, organizada y bien surtida en todo momento

Apoyar a los bartenders reabasteciendo:

Hielo

Licores, cerveza, vino y mezcladores

Vasos, servilletas, popotes y suministros del bar

Preparar jugos frescos, jarabes y garnituras para bebidas

Ayudar con las tareas de apertura y cierre del bar

Mantener los estándares de limpieza y sanidad

Trabajar en equipo para garantizar un servicio rápido y eficiente

Requisitos

Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente rápido

Disponibilidad para trabajar turnos de almuerzo y cena

Disponibilidad obligatoria los fines de semana y días festivos

Capacidad para permanecer de pie por largos períodos y levantar peso moderado

Buena actitud, atención al detalle y trabajo en equipo

Experiencia previa en restaurantes o bares es una ventaja, pero no es requerida
