As a Barback, you are the backbone of a smooth and efficient bar operation. You’ll work closely with bartenders and front-of-house staff to ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, and ready to serve guests quickly and professionally. Your attention to detail, hustle, and team spirit will help create an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The day to day:
• Support bartenders during service by restocking liquor, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes, ice, and other essentials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including surfaces, tools, and storage areas.
• Remove trash, glassware, and empty bottles throughout service to keep the bar area safe and tidy.
• Assist with bar setup and breakdown before and after service.
• Ensure kegs are replaced promptly and CO₂ levels are monitored if applicable.
• Help prep garnishes, syrups, and other cocktail ingredients as needed.
• Respond to bartender and manager requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with inventory and deliveries as needed.
• Previous Barback or Hospitality experience preferred
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong ability to take direction and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent oral communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Strong product knowledge (spirits, beer, wine, cocktails).
• Capacity to maintain a sense of professional urgency and momentum throughout service.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Valid ProServe certification (Alberta) 
• Must have availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
