Job Title: Locum ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician Banding: 5 Location: Isle of Man Start: ASAP Duration: Until 3March 2025 Rate: £19 £21 Working hours: Monday – Friday, up to 37.5 hour per week
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician to join our team on the Isle of Man. This role involves providing high-quality pharmaceutical care, with a focus on Medicines Management Technician (MMT) duties and Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing and supporting the pharmacy team.
What will your responsibilities be:
As an ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for performing final accuracy checks on dispensed medications, managing medicines within the hospital, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care. Your role will include managing inventory, assisting with the preparation of medications, and providing support and guidance to junior pharmacy staff. Additionally, you will participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacy services.
Qualifications and Experiences:
• ACT accreditation
• MMT experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems
