Balance Game Designer (World of Warships, PC)

Job Overview

We’re looking for a Balance Game Designer to join the Game Core team on the World of Warships PC project.

World of Warships is a free-to-play naval action MMO that allows players to take command of legendary warships of the 20th century - from agile destroyers to mighty battleships - and battle across the open seas with players from around the globe. 

You’ll be responsible for creating unique gameplay for new ships, analyzing and adjusting in-game balance, and taking direct part in developing new mechanics!

What will you do?

•
Analyze and adjust the state of balance in the game.

•
Support all features that influence the effectiveness of ships and the battle in general.

•
Create, set and release ship gameplay concepts.

•
Create analytical reports and analyze key indexes.

•
Work with the documentation.

•
Interact and collaborate with other departments.

What are we looking for?

•
3000+ battles with 55%+ winrate in WoWS

•
English – B2 or higher.

•
Excellent knowledge of WoWS mechanics and how they work.

•
Understanding of statistics and statistical calculations.

•
Experienced Excel or Google sheets user, ability to create complex calculations.

•
Good knowledge of mathematics and a basic understanding of probability theory.

•
Good communicational skills, ability to clearly and positively express thoughts.

•
Attention to details.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

•
1+ year of experience in a similar role.

•
Basic understanding of programming and database operations.

•
Knowledge and ability to read Python or C++ code.

•
Knowledge/Interest in Naval history.

•
Rich gaming experience, especially in MMOs.

•
Knowledge and experience with version control systems (Git, etc.).

•
Advanced Russian.

Work mode

• Onsite during probation period and hybrid after it (3 days of work from the office).
