Backend (Python) Developer Intern

We are looking for a dynamic Backend Developer Intern to help us integrate our backend system (Odoo ERP based on Python) with external services, extend its functionality and create automated functional tests. You will work with the team to implement new features and troubleshoot issues. This position is offered as a paid internship that could lead to a full-time position.

• Develop new features for our ERP system Odoo
• Implement and maintain system integrations with external services
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement them
• Design and develop automated tests to ensure system reliability
• Monitor system health, analyze logs, and debug problems

Your profile for the beginning

• Experience with programming languages like Python
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, and XML
• Practical experience with RESTful APIs
• General understanding of SQL and ORMs
• Proficient understanding of code versioning (Git)
• Ready to collaborate with front-end developers and other team members
• You are always positive but brutally honest at times
• Ready to adapt to new technologies
• Not afraid to make a mistake or fail sometimes, but always learn from them
• Work hard to meet deadlines but not at the price of sacrificing quality
• Eager to try different approaches on solving problems
• Hands on mentality and ability to work independently
• But most of all, you are in for a laugh and enjoy yourself

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of documenting test cases and scenarios
• First-Hand experience with Odoo
• Familiarity with tools used in test automation (e.g. Cypress, Lighthouse, or Postman)
• Experience with Docker, Jenkins or other DevOps tools
