Our client in the technology consulting space is seeking a Backend Platform SME specialising in Generative AI platforms who brings strong technical leadership, architectural expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced environments.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of backend APIs and logic leveraging large language models, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Search for AI-powered solutions such as candidate screening and process automation.

• Drive architectural design and implementation of Generative AI-based platforms, ensuring seamless integration with cloud services and enterprise applications.

• Automate provisioning of Azure cloud components and machine learning environments for AI Lab platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI adoption, conduct feasibility analysis, and deliver high-impact solutions.

• Take ownership as the first point of contact for platform troubleshooting, technical guidance, and best practices, ensuring swift resolution and stakeholder satisfaction.

• Manage production issues, prioritise incidents, and deliver rapid resolutions whilst continuously improving system performance, monitoring, privacy, and security.

• Oversee technical backlog, estimation, and sprint planning as an onshore technical lead, driving discussions and taking charge during critical situations.

• Provide clear communication and direction to technical teams, demonstrating vocal and assertive leadership in high-pressure situations.
