Role Summary
The Omnichannel Marketplace Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the stability, accuracy, and performance of backend marketplace operations across Chai Vision’s omnichannel ecosystem. This role owns backend execution, compliance, and troubleshooting to guarantee that products are properly set up, remain in stock, and flow seamlessly across systems and marketplaces.
This role plays a critical part in enabling scalable growth by building reliable backend structures, reducing operational errors, and acting as the escalation point for marketplace-related issues. The ideal candidate thrives in systems-driven environments, enjoys hands-on problem-solving, and excels at turning complex backend challenges into actionable solutions.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership & Oversight
Lead backend marketplace operations across multiple platforms, including (but not limited to) Walmart, Target+, Macy’s, Best Buy, eBay, Faire, Chewy, Temu, and others
Manage and develop a direct report, ensuring skill growth, accountability, and high-quality execution
Serve as the primary escalation point for backend marketplace issues across the company
Execution & Optimization
Upload, configure, and maintain SKUs and product data across all marketplaces
Ensure listings are compliant, live, and optimized for performance and platform requirements
Maintain accurate inventory levels and feed integrity between Shopify, SellerCloud, and marketplace portals
Set up and manage shipping, logistics, and return policies for new and existing marketplaces
Monitoring & Reporting
Run monthly returns reports, identify trends, and proactively escalate risks or recurring issues
Track backend performance metrics aligned with sales, compliance, and operational goals
Provide leadership with insights on backend errors, suppressions, and system inefficiencies
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
Rapidly resolve listing suppressions, unpublished SKUs, pricing errors, and system sync issues
Partner closely with the Front-End Lead and technical teams to ensure smooth marketplace integrations
Collaborate cross-functionally to address compliance requirements and technical fixes
Strategy vs. Execution Balance
30% Strategy: Process improvements, system optimization, escalation management
70% Execution: Hands-on backend operations, uploads, troubleshooting, reporting
Who You Are
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Experienced in backend marketplace operations and platform compliance
Calm under pressure and adaptable in fast-moving operational environments

Skilled at translating technical backend challenges into clear, practical solutions
Passionate about building scalable systems that support teams and customers
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in ecommerce marketplace operations or backend systems management
Hands-on experience with marketplace portals and product data management
Strong understanding of inventory feeds, compliance rules, and SKU lifecycle management
Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report preferred
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and operational reporting
