Backend Java Developer - Credit Risk

Our team provides technology solutions supporting the analysis and management of financial counterparty risk. The Budapest-based IT group is looking for a backend application developer with Java / Spring Boot expertise to help develop web applications that enable users to assess the risk exposure of various counterparties. The system is a complex, distributed global platform featuring a rich HTML/JavaScript user interface that communicates with backend services primarily written in Java.
The team follows agile methodology in line with the firm’s move away from traditional waterfall processes. Collaboration and structure align with agile practices — developers work within a flat team structure, with meetings coordinated by a dedicated Scrum Master and daily interactions with the Product Owner.

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop Web applications based on React UI’s on the top of a Java / Spring Boot microservices architecture
• Maintain and Support existing applications
• Daily contact with our stakeholders

Requirements:
• Strong understanding of OOO Design
• Strong Java knowledge
• Spring / Spring Boot knowledge
• SQL knowledge
• Excellent analytical ability
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
