We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer with strong Node.js expertise to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for developers with 2–5 years of professional experience who are passionate about building scalable backend systems, writing clean code, and solving complex technical problems. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust server-side applications, building APIs, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness of our systems.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions that power modern web applications. This role requires a strong understanding of Node.js architecture, asynchronous programming, and backend development best practices.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend and third-party integrations.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following modern development practices.
• Work with databases such as SQL or NoSQL systems to design efficient data models and queries.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
• Debug and resolve production issues while improving system stability.
• Implement authentication, security, and data protection mechanisms within backend services.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
• Contribute to improving development workflows, documentation, and engineering standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript in production environments.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Node.js frameworks such as Express or Fastify.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and Node.js runtime.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with API security, authentication (JWT/OAuth), and data protection best practices.
• Experience with Git and modern version control workflows.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, containerization, or deployment pipelines is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex backend issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture and scalable distributed systems.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with message queues, caching systems, or event-driven systems (e.g., Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
