Backend Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java and Golang, a solid understanding of backend architecture, and a passion for building efficient, reliable, and secure systems.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Java and Golang.
• Build scalable microservices and distributed systems to support high-traffic applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability through efficient coding and system design.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Implement security and data protection measures across backend systems.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical strategy.
• Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and incorporate them where relevant.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Golang with a deep understanding of their ecosystems.
• Experience in building RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Exposure to system design and distributed computing concepts.
• Familiarity with caching mechanisms like Redis or Memcached.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
