Job Description
At Saga, we’re building the intelligence that helps lawyers think faster, work smarter, and stay in control of their craft. Our AI platform blends legal reasoning with machine precision to make complex work simpler, sharper, and more human.
Our platform is scaling fast. Sales is growing, usage is increasing across regions, and AI workloads are becoming more demanding. Performance and reliability are no longer nice to have, they are essential. We are strengthening our backend team to make sure our systems scale with the product and the people who rely on it.
Your role as Backend Engineer
You will join a young, ambitious team that has been building the platform from the early sprints. The average age is 26. The mindset is ownership. We are remote first, spread across Europe, and strong communication is part of how we work. People write clearly, ask direct questions, and take responsibility for what they ship. As a Backend Engineer at Saga, you design and build backend systems powering AI driven legal products. You own APIs, data models, and services end to end. You work on document ingestion, processing, and semantic search using RAG. You improve performance, reliability, and security in multi tenant systems. You collaborate closely with backend teams, product engineers, and legal engineers to ship end to end features. You contribute to architectural decisions, decide when to design new systems and when to extend existing architecture, and take responsibility for what you build after it is released. The quality of what you ship directly influences how well our platform scales.
You will also:
