Welcome to team Transaction, part of the Generalist area at Blocket. We are responsible for creating and executing the area’s product strategy that ensures smooth and efficient customer and user journeys. Ensuring smooth sailing for the users, making shipping and payment easy and safe. You and the rest of the crew will be keeping things steady and developing the area and ensuring that we meet the expectations in this digital-driven era. So if you’re up to help us to make sure the users can just sit back and relax while the stuff they just bought or sold are being shipped, as well as building some smarter code, we would love to hear from you.

Who you are

We believe you are a backend developer with a few years hands-on experience of backend development working in a team. You are able to independently lead the development of new features, and enjoy discussing and debating code and solutions with your peers. You like sharing your knowledge with your cross functional team and also more junior developers and above all, you are curious and continuously strive to learn new things. We are often working in pairs so collaboration is another key.

Hello from your Manager! My name is Gustav and I started at Blocket as an Android developer 7 years ago, but about 3 years ago I decided to step back a bit from hands-on development and try the Engineering Manager role. As a manager I strive to have an open and relaxed relationship with my team and to be there to help out with anything they need.
