The Role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer with 3–6 years of relevant experience and a strong PHP background to accelerate the development of our core SaaS platform. This role sits within a multidisciplinary tech unit that spans Backend, Data, Product, and Design—and interfaces directly with our real estate industry users.

This position is intentionally designed as a growth role, offering clear ownership areas, mentorship, and a pathway toward becoming a Senior Backend Engineer.

Your Responsibilities:
• Build and evolve backend services and APIs powering B2B SaaS workflows

• Work on long-lived, production systems with real customers and business dependencies

• Improve existing codebases through refactoring, testing, and quality-focused engineering

• Participate in the technical delivery of our SaaS BU OKRs

• Engage closely with Product, Design, and Data to shape customer-facing features

• Advocate for maintainability, scalability, and pragmatic engineering

• Contribute to structured technical decision-making and architectural discussions

Your Skills and Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or comparable role, with a strong focus on PHP

• Strong understanding of backend architecture, API design, and relational databases

• Experience building and maintaining digital products used by real customers

• Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code and improve legacy code when needed

Experience that will set you apart:

• Background in real estate, PropTech, ClimateTech, or related digital products

• Experience with B2B SaaS platforms

• Familiarity with multi-tenant application architectures

• Exposure to modern PHP frameworks, domain-driven design, or service-oriented architectures
