About the job

We are looking for a Backend & Data Engineer (PlayFab / Azure / BigQuery) who will own and evolve our game backend systems and data pipelines powering live operations, analytics, and business intelligence.

You’ll work closely with the product, analytics, and LiveOps teams to ensure a reliable, secure, and efficient flow of data — from the game client to backend servers and dashboards.

About your key responsibilities and impact:
•

Backend (PlayFab / Azure)
• Maintain and develop backend features in PlayFab: TitleData, Economy, Segments, CloudScripts, and PlayStream events
• Manage and extend Azure Functions and API endpoints
• Handle receipt validation for App Store and Google Play purchases
• Ensure backend security, rate-limiting, and reliability
• Support LiveOps, feature flagging, and remote configuration systems

Data Pipeline (BigQuery / Airflow / Firebase)
• Monitor and maintain ETL workflows running on Airflow (Cloud Composer)
• Manage BigQuery tables and schemas; update SQL queries when new events or parameters are introduced
• Ensure data consistency between Firebase, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, and BigQuery
• Identify and fix anomalies in key dashboards (KPI, ROAS, performance metrics)
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to ensure reliable, accurate data access

About you:
• 3+ years in backend or data-oriented development
• Experience with live games, SaaS, or analytics-heavy platforms
• Familiar with cloud-based architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable taking ownership of critical backend systems
