Back-end Software Engineer

Job Overview: We are looking for a Software Engineer proficient with .NET. The primary focus of the role is to help accelerate the development and maintenance of our public and private APIs. You will be responsible for understanding the lifecycle of critical manufacturing workflows and helping us translate them into configurable, dynamic business logic that powers government and private organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Attend daily stand-ups to stay up-to-date with team progress

• Stay on top of Jira to make sure objectives and progress is well communicated

• Take ownership of manufacturing workflows and break them down with diagrams and documentation so everyone is on the same page

• Work with the senior developers to implement new and intuitive REST-based CQRS-like + Eventing APIs for both AI- and UI- based workflows

• Fully-document all of your code though XML Doc Comments and end-user Markdown-style docs

• Maintain high standards of excellence in everything you contribute to

• Evaluate/recommend industry standards, tools, and methods

• Document software design and contribute to design reviews

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (computer science or related) or equivalent work experience

• 1+ years of experience with languages, concepts, and frameworks such as: PostgreSQL, C#, Entity Framework Core, OData, GraphQL, Dependency Injection, TypeScript

• Product-driven mindset with deep empathy for our customers and strong intuition for end-user experience and business value

• Strong desire to work in a startup with interest to take on projects from zero to one with collaboration with the rest of the team

• Love working hard and enjoy a fast-paced environment

• Open mindset to exploring new language and frameworks, as well as constructive conversations and code reviews

• Passion for operational excellence and clean code

• Experience supporting cross-team efforts in order to roll-out a new feature or functionality

• Passion for learning and continuous improvement

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working in a Scrum/agile environment

• Working in an early startup environment or on SaaS products is a plus
