Job Description:
• Senior Research Analyst The Policy & Research Group, a research firm based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and specializing in research and evaluation of social welfare, public health and education policy and programs, is looking for candidates to fill a Senior Research Analyst position.
• The Senior Research Analyst will manage ongoing research and evaluation projects.
• Primary duties include supervising evaluation projects, contributing to new proposals, preparing evaluation reports, and writing grant applications.
• Other tasks that a senior analyst should be able to perform:
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of evaluation projects;
• Communicating the evaluation plan and its details to clients;
• Managing the collection of quantitative and qualitative data;
• Summarizing and analysing data;
• Writing the evaluation section of grant applications;
• Summarizing and explaining research findings and their implications;
• Preparing findings for publication;
• Reviewing and abstracting published research. The position will be based out of the New Orleans office, but some local and out-of-state travel will be required. Qualifications:
• Either a Ph.D. in relevant discipline with some work experience or a Master’s degree with at least seven years’ experience;
• Evidence of strong communication and organizational skills;
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and under pressure of deadlines;
• Demonstrated capability in managing project tasks;
• Technical expertise and supervisor/staff development skills strongly preferred.
• Strong candidates for the position will be expected to work constructively on their own and with others, contribute ideas, work productively and at a high level of quality, and represent the company in a professional manner in dealings with outside individuals and organizations.
