Azure Migration and DevOps Consultant

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Azure Migration & DevOps Consultant to independently drive end-to-end cloud migration, infrastructure engineering, and DevOps automation initiatives. The role involves leading design discussions, managing complex Azure environments, coordinating with multiple teams, and ensuring successful delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant Azure platforms.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring strong expertise in Azure Infrastructure, Azure Migrate, Terraform, Azure DevOps, AKS, networking, and cloud governance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, VMs, VMSS, Load Balancers, NSGs, Firewalls, Route Tables, Private DNS.

• Expertise in Azure Landing Zone build-out, configuration, and validation.

• Hands-on experience deploying and integrating applications with Azure SDK services such as Key Vault, Storage, and Service Bus.

• Proven experience migrating workloads from on-premises or AWS to Azure.

• Practical experience with Azure Migrate, including discovery, dependency assessment, replication, and cutover activities.

• Experience onboarding, configuring, and utilizing cloud migration tools, frameworks, and migration playbooks.

• Ability to lead end-to-end migration phases independently.

• Proficiency in containerization using Docker, including image creation, optimization, and registry management.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes core concepts such as pods, deployments, services, ingress, config maps, secrets, and autoscaling.

• Skilled in writing and maintaining Kubernetes YAML manifests, Helm charts, and CI/CD deployment pipelines for AKS.

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps for backlog management, repository governance, and end-to-end pipeline implementation.

• Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (preferred), GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates, including reusable module development and environment standardization.

• Automation using PowerShell, Shell/Bash, Azure Policy.

• Knowledge of secure pipelines, secrets management, compliance

• Experience with Azure API Management, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Managed Instance.

• Experience integrating AKS with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Key Vault, ACR, and other Azure services.

• Understanding of AI Agent lifecycle management.

• AI Gateway Integration for multi-agent access & routing.

• Designing effective human–AI interaction workflows.

• Automation using Agentic-AI frameworks (preferred).

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure modernization, or cloud migration projects across enterprise environments.

• Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, including Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity (Entra ID), Monitoring, and Security.

• Proven experience in leading and executing end-to-end cloud migration activities, including discovery, assessment, planning, execution, cutover, and post-migration validation.

• Strong expertise in building and validating Azure Landing Zones aligned with enterprise architecture, governance, and security frameworks.

• Practical experience with migration methodologies such as re-host, re-platform, and re-architect using Azure Migrate, ASR, Database Migration Service, etc.

• Hands-on experience in managing migration playbooks and pipelines in Azure DevOps, including lifecycle updates, automation, and CI/CD practices.

• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments, including YAML pipelines and gated validations.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex build, release, and pipeline issues, including agent configuration, environment variables, and integration failures.

• Strong skills in Terraform, including writing reusable modules, managing state, versioning, lifecycle upgrades, and implementing infrastructure patterns.

• Experience managing Git repositories, branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based), pull requests, and repository metadata.

• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Shell scripting to automate operational tasks, create tooling, and support CI/CD workflows.

• Strong understanding of compliance, security, and governance frameworks for cloud workloads—policies, RBAC, tagging standards, cost management, and Azure Security Center.

 

Certifications:

• Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)

• HashiCorp Terraform Associate

• Kubernetes certifications (nice to have)

 

Educational qualification:

• BE, BTech, BCA, BSc (IT) MCA, MBA (IT) and MSc(IT)

Experience :

• 5–8 years of work experience in Azure Migration and DevOps skills
