As an Azure Data Architect, you will be responsible for defining data architecture strategy, building modern data platforms, and enabling advanced analytics and AI initiatives. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, DevOps teams, and leadership to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions aligned with enterprise goals.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect end-to-end data solutions using the Azure ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and related services.
• Define data models, data integration frameworks, ETL/ELT pipelines, and real-time data processing architectures.
• Leverage Python for data engineering workflows, automation, orchestration, API integrations, and advanced data transformations.
• Develop scalable and secure data lakes and lakehouse architectures aligned with modern data architecture principles.
• Establish data governance, security, compliance, and best practices across the Azure data platform.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data solutions within Azure environments.
• Optimize performance, cost management, and scalability of cloud-based data platforms.
• Provide architectural leadership in migration projects from on-premises systems to Azure cloud.
• Guide and mentor data engineering teams, conducting design reviews and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
• Work closely with analytics and AI teams to enable machine learning and advanced analytics use cases within the Azure ecosystem.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• 9–15 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, and enterprise data platform design.
• Strong hands-on expertise as an Azure Data Architect, with deep understanding of Azure data services and cloud-native architectures.
• Extensive experience across the Azure ecosystem, including Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL, Power BI, and Azure Purview.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, automation, and integration tasks.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, data vault).
• Experience with big data technologies and distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
• Familiarity with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and streaming solutions such as Azure Event Hub or Stream Analytics.
• Expertise in implementing security best practices including RBAC, encryption, and data masking within Azure.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation within Azure environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with AI/ML integrations within Azure ML or Databricks.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
