We work with major global clients across diverse sectors, including Transport & Logistics, Financial Services, Energy & Utilities, Retail, and Media & Telecommunications.

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with a strong focus on AWS Cloud to design and guide enterprise-grade cloud solutions. This role emphasizes architecture, patterns, product assessments, proofs of concept, and defining best practices. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor, influencing technical direction and ensuring architectural consistency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and design cloud architectures and solution patterns that address complex business and technical requirements, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Produce high-level and detailed architectural specifications of cloud-based components, tiers, and interfaces using AWS services and products.
• Lead product and service assessments to evaluate technologies, AWS offerings, and third-party tools, delivering recommendations aligned with business and enterprise strategy.
• Drive the creation of proofs of concept (PoCs) to validate approaches and demonstrate feasibility of innovative solutions.
• Establish and maintain cloud architecture standards, patterns, and best-practice documentation to be adopted across teams and projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring, guiding teams during solution design and architecture reviews.
• Partner with stakeholders across business, technology, and infrastructure domains to align architectural decisions with strategic objectives.
• Contribute to cloud migration and modernization strategies, designing target architectures and roadmaps for adoption.
• Stay current with AWS innovations and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Act as an advocate for cloud-native architectures, influencing stakeholders and promoting architectural excellence.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Technical Application Architecture, or related fields.
• Proven track record of leading cloud architecture initiatives, preferably on AWS.
• Strong background in solution design across infrastructure, applications, and integration domains.
• Fluency in English (Spanish is a plus).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Skills & Knowledge

• Expertise in AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience defining enterprise-level architectures, hybrid cloud, and migration strategies.
• Deep understanding of systems design, networking, security, and distributed architectures.
• Strong knowledge of application integration, APIs, and microservices design.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (EDA), including messaging, streaming, and pub/sub patterns.
• Understanding and application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles in solution architecture.
• Proven experience with containers and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or equivalent).
• Familiarity with governance, compliance frameworks, and cloud security principles.
• Experience producing architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical standards.
• Ability to evaluate, compare, and recommend technologies and services.

Nice to Have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or other advanced AWS certifications).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Hands-on knowledge of event-driven platforms such as AWS EventBridge, SNS, SQS, or Apache Kafka.
• Practical experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) in complex distributed systems.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes.
• Exposure to observability and monitoring frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
