AWS Solutions Architect (Documentation)

We are seeking an AWS Solutions Architect with excellent technical writing abilities and a solid understanding of data engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive documentation to support our AWS Competency and Service Delivery goals. This role will specifically focus on filling out the documentation required for various AWS Competencies, including Amazon Kinesis Service Delivery, AWS Life Sciences, and AWS Financial Services.

What you will do?:
• Create detailed and accurate documentation required for AWS Competencies, following the guidelines and requirements provided by AWS.
• Review and understand the competency requirements from the AWS Generative AI Competency Self-Assessment provided, ensuring all documentation aligns with AWS standards.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, best practices, and implementation guides, that convey complex technical concepts.
• Work closely with engineering, product, and sales teams to gather the necessary information and ensure documentation meets the needs of various stakeholders.
• Contribute to achieving AWS Competencies by preparing and submitting detailed documentation required for competency applications and audits.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and features and continuously improve documentation to reflect new capabilities and best practices.

What are we looking for?:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as an AWS Solutions Architect or in a similar role, with a strong focus on technical writing and documentation.
• Proficiency in AWS services, particularly Amazon Kinesis, AWS Life Sciences, and AWS Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience with creating architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional preferred.

The Path to Joining the Mactores Team
At Mactores, our recruitment process is structured around three distinct stages:

Pre-Employment Assessment:
You will be invited to participate in a series of pre-employment evaluations to assess your technical proficiency and suitability for the role.

Managerial Interview: The hiring manager will engage with you in multiple discussions, lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, to assess your technical skills, hands-on experience, leadership potential, and communication abilities.

HR Discussion: During this 30-minute session, you'll have the opportunity to discuss the offer and next steps with a member of the HR team.
