This role is designed for a seasoned AWS Cloud Engineer with deep hands-on experience managing and supporting production-grade cloud environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of AWS-based systems while working remotely with distributed teams. The position offers flexibility through full-time or freelance engagement and supports dual project involvement, making it ideal for self-driven professionals who thrive in high-impact, independent roles.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and support AWS production environments with a strong focus on system reliability and performance
• Administer and optimize Amazon RDS instances, including performance tuning, backups, restores, Multi-AZ setups, and read replicas
• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues across AWS services such as EC2, ALB, VPC, IAM, and related components
• Perform in-depth log analysis and monitoring using AWS CloudWatch to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity challenges, latency issues, and inter-service dependencies
• Lead end-to-end root cause analysis and drive resolution of complex production incidents
• Apply AWS networking and security best practices to maintain robust and secure cloud environments
• Operate independently in a remote setup while managing production-critical responsibilities
What Makes You a Great Fit
• 8+ years of experience in cloud or system engineering, with significant hands-on exposure to AWS production environments
• Strong expertise in Amazon RDS and core AWS services including EC2, VPC, ALB, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Proven ability to handle high-availability, mission-critical systems with confidence
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working autonomously in remote or distributed team environments
• Clear and effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
• A proactive mindset with strong ownership of systems and outcomes
