We are opening applications for our Awards Management and Donor Compliance Talent Pool.

Potential roles can include short-term consultancies, remote opportunities, deployment opportunities and longer-term positions. We expect to leverage this pool to help with the identification of the best candidates for both country, desk and global roles within RI.

About the Opportunity
The Global Awards and Donor-Compliance team is responsible for overseeing award management and donor compliance processes across RI programs. Acting as the primary liaison between country offices and the Global Support Office, the role shall ensures adherence to RI policies, supports strategic initiatives, and fosters strong stakeholder relationships.
As part of the team, you will lead or co-leads award processes, monitor donor compliance, support quality-based Project cycle including provide necessary support and guidance to country program on donor reports, modification, and award close-out, while also driving capacity building, strategic planning, and strengthening the sub awarding processes. Operating with
significant independence, you will analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and provide technical support to ensure efficient, high-quality award management and donor communication across the Desk.
Key Responsibilities
Award & Grants Management: Lead donor agreement reviews and negotiation process, facilitate award modifications requests, and ensure award audit readiness through compliance monitoring and lessons learned. Set the process to guide the Program and Support team on post-awarding key actions.
Compliance Oversight: Guide country offices on donor regulations and rules, conduct regular check-ins and portfolio reviews, and maintain updated donor compliance matrices.
Program Kick-off & Closeout: Deliver compliance start-up calls, validate award mobilization, and lead pre-/post-award closeout processes including audit readiness and donor requirements.
Project and Partnership Management: Oversee partner due diligence, review and authorize sub-agreements, and advise country teams on partner selection, monitoring, and capacity building. Set necessary processes to ensure program quality-performance review, identify risks, develop RACIs and facilitate required modifications in timely manner.
Systems & Knowledge Management: Manage Desk NetSuite requests (RI Software), trigger workflows, and provide analytical reports/dashboards on awards, partnerships, and KPIs to senior management.
Capacity Building & Leadership: Design and deliver training initiatives, coach junior staff, support country SMTs in tailored training, and provide temporary coverage for awards management gaps.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain award trackers, update donor reporting factsheets, review and edit donor reports and communications, and ensure filing systems are current and organized.
About You
You will bring the following experience and skills.
Substantial progressive work experience in the fields of Awards, Grants, Compliance, and partnership management for an international organization;
Knowledge and proven strong experience with US, European, and other international government donors;
Experience tracking award budgets, ensuring donor compliance and timely, accurate spending;
Proven experience with grants management software/databases;
Excellent English narrative writing and oral skills;
Experience and ability to work within a newly established department and multi-location team;
Excellent communication skills, including written and oral communications;
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
Available to travel internationally.
