RAKBANK is looking for a Technology procurement - Sub category strategic sourcing lead & Assistant 

Vice President to be part of its impeccable transformation journey to drive from the front several strategic  cost management proactive sourcing projects, sizeable strategic sourcing initiatives, mentor the young  sourcing talents in the team, being a change agent to bring strategic shift.

What you will do:

Operational Responsibilities:

• Ability to run complex RFx with the art of designing innovative commercial models and 
• negotiating favorable deals for the bank 
• Ability to do in-depth spend analysis and identify opportunities for spend optimization and 
• supplier rationalization
• Lead category strategy development and execution across key indirect spend areas (e.g., IT 
• software, professional services)
• In-depth understanding of various technology sub-categories, vendor landscape in the region and globally, and sourcing practices
• Hands-on experience in running large software sourcing projects for both on-premise and cloud solutions
• Conduct supplier market intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and cost modeling
• Lead RFPs, RFIs, e-auctions, and strategic negotiations to deliver total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements and value
• Maintain full audit trail and procurement governance in compliance with internal policy and regulatory requirements

Digital Transformation Integration:

• Identify and leverage cutting-edge technologies, including AI, to enhance efficiency, responsiveness, and strategic decision-making in procurement processes

AI-Driven Procurement Processes:

• Spearhead the implementation of AI-driven procurement processes to streamline and enhance efficiency in sourcing, contracting, and vendor management
• Explore and integrate the latest technologies to automate routine tasks, allowing the team to focus on strategic and value-driven activities

Regulatory Compliance and Technology Governance:

• Ensure that the integration of AI and other technologies into procurement activities complies with local regulations and banking industry standards

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CPP) are desirable
• Minimum of 9+ years experience with Supply Chain Management & Procurement
• Familiarity with digital procurement tools and technologies, including AI applications. 
• Familiarity with consumer relationship systems (CRMs), content management systems (CMSs), and data mining software

 

What You Should have:

•    Deep knowledge and understanding of various contractual clauses in master contracts, including their necessity, and lead negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as legal 

•    and business partners

•    Possesses excellent communication skills to drive difficult conversations internally and externally

•    Good knowledge of the supplier base in the region and globally

•    Experience in sourcing from both domestic and global ecosystems, enabling adoption of global 

•    best practices in technology

•    Smart and quick thinker, while being a good listener, learner, and team player

•    Critical thinking and analytical skills

•    Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

•    Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment while prioritising focus on most impactful activities to meet deadlines

•    Excellent presentation and communication skills 

•    Market research skills and statistical analysis

•    Ability to motivate, influence and collaborate with others both internally and externally
