As an Avionics Development Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, testing, and delivering cutting-edge avionics systems that power rockets and payloads into orbit. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the testing of avionics components, including computing modules, RF systems, flight termination hardware, and high-voltage systems, ensuring reliability and performance.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate system functionality into clear test requirements and actionable plans.

• Take ownership of research and development test campaigns from concept to delivery, ensuring quality at every stage.

• Work hands-on with hardware during component bring-up, integration, and operations, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to resolve challenges.

• Apply first-principles analysis to identify root causes of failures in avionics and battery hardware, performing risk assessments and implementing solutions.

• Design, improve, and maintain electrical schematics, PCBAs, and BOMs to support hardware lifecycle management.

• Partner with technicians and manufacturing engineers to diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring seamless processes.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Ability to interpret piece-part schematics and analyse circuits.

• At least 2 years of real-world experience in hardware development or electronics test engineering.

• Lab equipment expertise, proficiency with oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency generators, and other lab instrumentation.

• Requirement definition & test planning; Experience in defining requirements, writing test plans, and producing detailed test reports.

• Electrical Design Skills; Knowledge of PCBA design and lifecycle management.

• Environmental Testing Experience: Familiarity with thermal, shock, vibration, and TVAC testing processes.

• Standards & Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working with industry standards and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
