Maxana is seeking an experienced AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) Administrator to manage and optimize our Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and support of AVD environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for our users. Your expertise will help streamline processes and enhance the user experience in a dynamic, cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, session hosts, and application groups.
• Maintain and update golden images for AVD deployments following established processes.
• Monitor the performance, availability, and usage of AVD resources and take proactive measures to optimize performance and cost.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AVD including connectivity, performance, and application deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IT infrastructure for ongoing improvements in the AVD space.
• Develop documentation and guidelines for AVD administration processes and best practices.
• Implement security measures and ensure compliance with organizational policies within the AVD environment.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in administering Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or related cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, including virtual networks, storage, and security best practices.
• Experience with Nerdio for managing AVD is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
• Experience in troubleshooting complex AVD-related issues and end user support.
• Strong written and spoken English (B2 or above)--this is an end user and customer facing support role
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
