Job Description

Job Summary:

The Automation Tester will create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to validate the functionality of software systems in the Telco project. This role involves working closely with developers, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, analyze test results, and ensure that the project meets high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automated Test Script Development: Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts that simulate user actions and verify system functionalities, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all project requirements.
• CI/CD Integration: Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests with the continuous integration and delivery pipeline, ensuring that tests run automatically with each new build and deployment.
• Test Reporting: Generate and analyze automated test reports to identify defects and ensure system functionality. Provide clear and actionable feedback to developers and project stakeholders.
• Script Optimization: Continuously improve and optimize existing test scripts to enhance efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
• Test Tool Management: Manage and maintain the automated testing tools and frameworks, ensuring they are up to date and properly configured to meet the needs of the project.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure that automated testing aligns with the overall testing strategy and project goals.

Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in automation testing, with a focus on developing and executing automated test scripts. Experience in telecommunications projects is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Junit, Katalon). preferable UIPath
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bamboo.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). Preferable C#
• Experience in web automation testing until go-live.
• Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills for generating and interpreting test reports.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize test scripts.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Certifications:

• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or equivalent certification.
• Experience in Agile and Scrum environments is a plus.
