Automation SCADA Software Engineer

Responsibilities / Tasks

Roles And Responsibilities:  

• Can develop independently and test the machine HMI/SCADA software. Expertise level should be more than 85% minimum.
• Must have hands on experience & can independently develop on designing the Software from Scratch.
• HMI/ SCADA would be on based on C#.Net / GE iFix SCADA with Siemens PLC in Machine is preferable.
• To develop advanced reports based on requirements using reporting tools (Telerik & Crystal reporting tool) & SQL database.
• Communication SCADA using OPC U/A, Ethernet, Modbus TCP/IP & other recommended communication protocol.
• Combination of software and hardware design & understanding.
• Prepare machine SBOM & HBOM for HMI/SCADA.
• Drafting, review, validate & final release the documents for HMI/SCADA e.g. Functional design specifications, Operation Manual & Maintenance Manual, Software design specifications & Software Integration Test Plans & Standard Configuration manual / documents, etc.
• Perform Bench testing in simulation along with hardware followed by validation and releasing final validated documents with Cyber Security Report.
• Resolve the technical issues with Windows platform, associated Software with HMI/SCADA if any.
• Validated software bug fixing, troubleshooting, maintaining the records, step by step procedure to implement the fix and version control of software.
• To migrate HMI/SCADA Software to new Windows platform including testing & validation followed releasing.
• Understanding customer experiences to be able to reflect customer expectations in our standards, processes, and tools.
• Review input from project/sales/Automation team.
• Make an automation execution plan for the project & deal with internal stakeholders e.g. Project, design, procurement & CoCs.
• Combination of software and hardware design & understanding.
• Workshop & Project team coordination during machine assembly, machine testing at workshop, dispatch coordination.
• Handle customer FAT along with project & validation team.
• Clear FAT snag list & comply with the requirement criteria.
• Travel on site to commission pharma equipment and should be able to perform machine Operational qualification (As part of SAT) in front of customers. (Traveling should not be concern)
• Operational & maintenance training to internal team & customers.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Profile And Qualifications:

• Engineering Graduate (IT field/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Instrumentation & control/Computer & Science/Information Technology)
• Total 3-4 years’ experience as an Automation/SCADA/HMI engineer and should have minimum 2 years’ relevant experience for the same.

Communications:

• Co-ordinate with project team, Automation team, Electrical design team.
• External communication with vendors & customers
• Approach works individually and with teams with optimism and solution-oriented Agile mindset.

Technical Skills:

• Must have knowledge of .Net and .Net Framework platform.
• Must have knowledge of C#.Net and VB.Net languages
• Must have knowledge of Siemens Platform for Programming in TIA portal V12 up to V20 in which PLC (S7-1500) preferable and HMI Software WinCC flexible, WinCC Advanced/Professional, WinCC Classic/Explorer, etc.
• Must have knowledge of Windows Professional, Windows IoT, Windows server environment, VMware ESXi platform.
• Must have knowledge of Windows form, WPF, windows services, etc.
• Must have knowledge to develop advance reports based on requirements using reporting tools (Telerik & Crystal reporting tool) & SQL database.
• Should have knowledge of Git and Git hub
• Should have knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio
• Should have knowledge of SQL
• Should have knowledge of XML and XAML languages
• Should have knowledge of HTML language
• Should have knowledge of Pharma regulatory guidelines like USFDA 21 CFR part 11 compliance, GMP, GxP, GAMP guidelines
• Should have knowledge of Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)
• Knowledge of GE iFiX/VBA/SQL/MS OS Skills

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and HMI software programming would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of VFDs, like Danfoss, ABB etc. & Control panel electrical would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Field Instruments & Controls for better understanding would be an advantage.
• Having knowledge of pharmaceutical industry practices would be considered as advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Willing to travel for commissioning & plant qualification across India, APAC, LAM, Europe etc. regions (50% travelling).
• Sense of commitment and committed to deliver.
• Possess working knowledge of MS office products & SAP.
• Preferably from Pharmaceutical Background.
• Traveling should not be concern.
