About the Team and Role

We’re looking for a Middle / Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our Risk Systems team and work on Chargebackhit — a Solidgate product focused on fraud and chargeback prevention, as well as dispute management for merchants worldwide.

Chargebackhit handles a complex ecosystem of integrations with banks and payment systems: from receiving prevention and fraud notifications to importing chargebacks from multiple external sources and supporting full representment flows. The system also includes a dedicated merchant admin hub, where clients manage disputes and track their cases.

At Solidgate, quality is built in, not tested in later.

We don’t have manual QA roles — automation engineers are full-fledged contributors to product quality. You’ll be involved early in feature planning, risk analysis, and design discussions, helping teams make better decisions before code reaches production.

We believe in engineering ownership. There are no “click-through” QA roles here — every engineer is accountable for quality. You’ll build confidence in releases through meaningful test coverage, stable and fast automation, and clear CI feedback in a system where correctness truly matters.

You’ll work on a high-impact product with many dependencies and frequent changes, where good automation isn’t just helpful — it’s critical.

What you’ll drive

— Define meaningful test coverage: analyze features, risks, and technical complexity to focus on what truly matters

— Create checklists that actually make sense — not just template-based cases, but a clear and practical automation plan that helps catch bugs where it truly matters.

— Build fast and stable automated tests that provide instant feedback in CI

— Maintain and improve existing automation as the product evolves

— Improve and extend the automation framework and tooling

— Ensure confidence in product quality — help the team quickly see where issues are and ship features without fear, even on a Friday.

You’re a great fit if you have

— 3+ years of experience in test automation and programming

— Strong knowledge of Java

— Hands-on experience with TestNG, Selenide, Retrofit, Test Management Systems (TMS)

— Solid background in API and UI test automation

— High level of ownership and independence

— Initiative and readiness to improve processes and tooling

Nice to have

— Experience in fintech or high-load systems

— Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing challenges
