Roles and Responsibilities
Lead installation/deployments of BG technology on customer sites from installation to System Engineering hand-off
Ensure compliance to building and safety codes by all federal, state, and/or local regulations
Manage installation contractors and work to resolve deployment issues
Manage BG engineers while on site that are tasked with installation efforts
Manage customer relationship on-site and coordinate site level tasks with local building management
Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to meet installation criteria
Drive feedback and improvement efforts from site to System Engineering teams
Provide support to the active project to drive progress and prevent or mitigate stoppages or downtime
Responsible for tracking and achieving project operational and budgetary metrics
Develop standardization processes and technical solutions to drive down installation time and cost
Oversee customer training and handoff tasks to guarantee a smooth integration of BG’s technology in existing operations
Experience and Education Required
Required:
BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or similar technical field
5+ years of experience in construction or installation management
Preferred:
8+ years of experience in construction or installation management
Project management experience
Robotics/industrial automation/manufacturing experience
Qualifications and Skills Required
Demonstrated experience managing hardware installations and commissioning of industrial equipment
Experience leading teams of engineers
Experience managing construction contractors
Knowledge and understanding of safety standards
Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, electrical schematics, or other engineering diagrams
Confidence and knowledge to convey technical explanations of problems or issues identified during deployment
Understanding of warehouse management systems, software messaging flows, IT hardware
Demonstrated experience with customer management and support
Strong sense of urgency and leadership
Excellent communication skills
Strong computer skills
Ability to work with senior levels of management internally and externally at site level
Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
Preferred (one or more):
High competence in at least one area: mechanical, electrical, or software systems
Experience with project management software - MS Project, Smartsheets, etc.
Experience with engineering defect tracking software – JIRA, etc.
