We are looking for an Automation Engineer with a good knowledge of the subject and in addition to being familiar with network architecture designs is required. We offer a flexible hybrid working mode allowing you to work from your home and from one of our offices.  

Primary Responsibilities 

• Participate in the realization of different automation projects 
• Participate in the design of plans and specifications for automated systems 
• Help the design department to validate the operating principles 
• Help suggest a choice of technology to the customer 
• Program all types of programmable logic controllers (PLC) for different types of products 
• Make modifications to the programming and update functional descriptions 
• Program operator interfaces (visual) for different types of products 
• Research the documentation to be used for a project 
• Participate in meetings with customers regarding project monitoring 
• Commission the programmed systems at customers' premises: validation of the programming in accordance with the customer's requests, troubleshooting, modification and configuration 

• University degree in electrical engineering, automated production, electrodynamics or any other related discipline 
• More than 3 years of experience in a similar position (Experience in consulting engineering is an asset) 
• Fluency in French and English is required for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our clients, partners and cross-sector staff at the national level
• Knowledge of PLC and operator interface programming (SCADA and HMI) 
• Knowledge of control equipment (VFD, MCC) 
• Knowledge and interest in industrial networking 
• Factory or commissioning experience (from one day to several days on site) 
• Good organizational skills while possessing a good team spirit
