Auto Body Journeyman Technician

MIDWEST MEIDL COLLISION CENTRE is growing, and we are looking for a licensed Journeyman Autobody Technician to join our team! 
  

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for: 

Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages 

Return the vehicle back to factory specifications 

Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body 

Properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair 

Remove damaged parts using appropriate tools 

Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment 

Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack 

File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools 

Aim headlights 

Replace bolts on panels and align properly 

Make cosmetic repairs 

Perform other duties as assigned by management 

Able to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job 

Able to repair Aluminum damage as per OEM procedure 

The candidate will: 

Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

Have knowledge of and the ability to operate machinery and tools required to complete repairs 

Work individually and as part of a team 

Have a high level of integrity and work ethic 

Designations/Training/Experience Requirements: 

Auto Body Technician journeyman/journeywoman ticket 

Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset 

I-CAR certifications and training 

Mitchell estimating program knowledge considered an asset 

Aluminum training/experience 

Driver's Licence (Required) 

Own tools
