Position Location: Remote, EST 

Who are you? 

Security-cleared Professional: You are able to obtain and maintain a government issued public trust clearance. 

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred with 7-10 years of experience.  

Experience: Experience with FISMA and NIST policies and procedures. Experience with maintaining security and compliance initiatives. Experience with supporting audits. Experience with tracking deliverables and milestones. Has done ad-hoc reporting. Experience with Tenable Nessus, ACAS, HBSS or other related systems. 

Certifications: Either a Security + CE, CASP, CISSP, GCIA, CISM, CISA or another certification that is the equivalent. 

Core Responsibilities: 

Provides advanced knowledge and audit support.  

Provides external and internal auditing professionals with the information needed to conduct efficient audits.  

Facilitates working sessions with cross-functional teams in planning for and execution of scheduled audit activities.  

Creates and updates relevant documentation to include metrics, procedural documentation, presentations, system diagrams, analysis papers, spreadsheet analysis, and agendas for scheduled and ad-hoc meetings.  

Develops timelines for various deliverables, tracks progress to completion, and provides weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc status reporting.  

Preferred Experience:  

Extensive experience in leading audit support activities, including coordinating responses to external and internal audit requests and ensuring timely delivery of required documentation. 

Proficiency in managing audit workflows and tracking deliverables using project management tools, such as Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project. 

Advanced knowledge of FISMA and NIST SP 800-53 compliance requirements, including the ability to map audit findings to specific controls and recommend remediation strategies. 

Expertise in vulnerability management tools, such as Tenable Nessus, ACAS, or HBSS, to support audit-related security assessments and reporting. 

Strong analytical skills to conduct ad-hoc reporting and data analysis, including identifying trends and anomalies in security and compliance metrics. 

Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive audit documentation, including system security plans (SSPs), security assessment reports (SARs), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms). 

Ability to facilitate cross-functional working sessions and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on audit objectives and deliverables. 

Familiarity with executive-level reporting, including preparing presentations and analysis papers for senior management and audit committees. 

Experience in conducting risk assessments and integrating findings into audit planning and execution processes. 

Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple audit activities simultaneously and provide clear updates to stakeholders.
