We are hiring an experienced Audit Manager in Fremont, NE to lead audit engagements, manage audit teams, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong leadership experience who thrives in a hybrid, collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage internal and external audit engagements from planning through completion
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and internal control requirements
• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and senior accountants
• Identify audit risks and recommend process and control improvements
• Serve as the primary contact for audit-related matters with stakeholders
• Coordinate audit timelines, deliverables, and deadlines
Requirements:
• Active CPA certification required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive audit experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and internal controls
• Experience in public accounting, internal audit, or regulated environments preferred
• Proficiency with audit and accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work onsite in Fremont, Nebraska at least part of the time
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet deadlines
Work Schedule & Location Requirement
• Hybrid position with required onsite presence in Fremont, NE
• Fully remote work is not available for this role
