Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our medical center in Staten Island, NY. This full-time role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive hearing healthcare, combining diagnostic evaluations, treatment, and patient education. The Audiologist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care and improve patient outcomes across our Annandale location.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform thorough audiological assessments, including diagnostic testing and hearing evaluations.
• Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids and assistive listening devices tailored to patient needs.
• Educate and counsel patients on hearing loss, treatment plans, and device usage.
• Provide ongoing follow-up care, troubleshoot devices, and ensure proper maintenance.
• Maintain accurate patient records, evaluations, and treatment documentation.
• Collaborate with clinical team members and support staff to enhance patient care.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements and best practices.
• Ensure all clinical activities comply with state licensing regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
• Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s degree in Audiology per state licensure requirements.
• Active or eligible New York State Audiology license.
• Strong expertise in clinical assessment and hearing aid fittings.
• Exceptional patient communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with audiology software, EMR systems, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented clinical setting.
• Commitment to a hands-on onboarding process: 2 hours of observation at one of our locations, followed by 2–3 paid workdays with the Chief Audiologist for evaluation and orientation.
