Job Description
PREPARATION
• Setup documentation and tasks in line with company and department’s best practices.
• Communicate effectively between post-production staff and other departments.
• Respond to or escalate issues to senior staff as they arise in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify potential workload/traffic issues and offer solutions.
• Identify and escalate when additional resources are required.
• Prepare, setup and manage the workflow of allocated projects, in line with company practices.
• Prepare key stakeholders and vendors with project details.
COORDINATION
• Schedule and book resources using department tools.
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure all allocated projects run smoothly.
• Be accountable and deliver worked on files to clients.
• Be nimble, resourceful and adaptable to ever changing tasks/deadlines.
• Be on site as and when required.
• Achieve Technical QA across all projects under post-production ensuring all processing is completed to our highest standards.
• Understand ethical behaviour and business practices and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organisation.
• Apply effective project management and maintain strong communication and collaboration between post production teams and other departments.
• Liaise with clients and production teams about best practices in Post for their deliverables.
TRACKING
• Track project progress, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are up to high standards.
• Archive projects.
DEVELOPMENT
• Recognise when a project is headed outside agreed upon scope of work and inform relevant parties prior to this happening. • Provide regular feedback to freelancers to nurture growth and development within Post.
• Evaluate and implement innovative post-production processes, tools and technologies that enable us to better serve our clients.
• Liaise with senior staff about best practices for the post-production pipeline, streamlining current workflows.
OTHER
• Adhere to company Security, Confidentiality and Health and Safety procedures and ensure the compliance of the team.
• Adhere to the company IT and HR procedures and ensure the compliance of the team.
• Understand ethical behaviour and business practices and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organisation.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
• Experience working with many files across multiple projects and languages.
• Practiced managing schedules and resources in a post-production field.
• Possess great organisational skills, ability to take initiative, solve problems effectively, manage time efficiently and work well under tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Great attention to detail, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Work professionally as part of a team, take direction and mentor junior postproduction staff.
• 2+ years’ experience in a commercial audio post-production role (beneficial).
• Familiarity with tools such as of Pro-Tools, Reaper, Audition and/or RX.
• Understanding stages of dialogue editing, design and mastering.
• Experienced user of Google Sheets and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure. • Strong interest in audio technology and a passion for video games (bonus).
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in any field desirable.
