Days & Hours: Hours range between 8:50 am - 8:30 pm Monday - Sunday.
Weekdays and Weekends
Salary Range: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for day to day operations of park rides. Responsible for interactions with customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Courteous and welcoming to park guests and park team and provide optimal hospitality.
Follow all operating procedures for the park rides.
Perform all duties as directed by the Park Manager.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Performs job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
Interest and ability to work with young children and communicate with parents / guardians.
Gain familiarity with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing tasks.
Be able to work in an outdoor environment potentially exposed to heat and elements.
Participate in keeping the park in clean, working condition.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Be aware of and follow park policies.
Apply customer service procedures for the facility.
Be aware of all policies concerning emergency action plans, and approach to injured guests / employees.
Attend all meetings on time.
Follow work assignments and rotation schedules.
Prompt usage of time clock during shifts and timely submission of calendar availability.
Inform supervisor on duty of any: unusual circumstances, problems, injury, vandalism, or equipment damage in the park.
General clean up of the park as assigned.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
Must be safety conscientious and use good judgment at all times.
Physical agility to maintain mobility working attractions and moving within the park.
Subject to modified/flexible work schedule.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to respond quickly and accurately to emergency situations.
Must work closely with coworkers.
Must work under supervision and direction of supervisors.
Must be able to keep calm in stressful situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least16 years of age.
Must be CPR certified or the ability to become certified before the season starts.
Able to demonstrate maturity in dealing with the general public in matters of public safety.
Congeniality, outgoing personality.
Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
Works in a wide range of climates, which can include rain, high humidity, extreme heat and cold.
Physical agility to stand for long periods of time as well as bend over / squat frequently.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school.
