Are you ready to shape the future of healthcare?
Evinova, a health tech leader within the AstraZeneca Group, is modernizing its SaaS platform infrastructure, operations, and ways of working with global teams. We use technology, data, AI, and platform practices to help life sciences teams deliver outcomes at scale.
We are hiring an Atlassian Cloud Solutions Architect to design and govern our Atlassian Cloud platform across Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, automation, reporting, AI-enabled workflows, and the marketplace ecosystem.
You will help run Atlassian Cloud as an enterprise platform capability—reducing workflow friction, improving SDLC execution, strengthening traceability, and enabling scalable adoption of new features.
Key Responsibilities
Atlassian Cloud Platform Architecture
• Own and evolve the Atlassian Cloud platform (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management), including permissions, automation, reporting, and marketplace apps.
• Define reusable patterns and templates for teams, products, and business units.
• Set guardrails for workflows, project structures, permissions, apps, and reporting.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, QA, Operations, Platform, and business teams to translate needs into scalable configurations.
• Evaluate new capabilities and plan safe, governed adoption.
Jira, Confluence & Workflow Optimization
• Design Jira workflows, issue types, fields, boards, dashboards, and reporting.
• Improve Confluence structure and knowledge access to strengthen cross-team collaboration.
• Enable end-to-end SDLC workflows across requirements, delivery, testing, release readiness, and operational handover.
• Increase consistency in how work is planned, tracked, and reported.
• Support Jira Plans and capacity planning where needed.
Automation & Plugin Ecosystem
• Govern Jira Automation to reduce duplication, prevent fragile rules, and improve maintainability.
• Use ScriptRunner and approved apps when native capabilities are insufficient.
• Evaluate, configure, and manage marketplace apps for value, security, and operational fit.
• Create documented automation patterns that reduce manual work and improve consistency.
AI, Rovo & Agent Enablement
• Partner with Engineering and Platform teams to enable Atlassian Rovo, Cloud agents, and custom agent builder capabilities.
• Implement AI-enabled workflows that improve information discovery across Jira and Confluence.
• Explore and govern Atlassian MCP to support AI-assisted Jira and SDLC workflows.
• Define safe, practical usage patterns and identify opportunities to reduce support effort through automation and AI.
Engineering Metrics & Jellyfish Enablement
• Configure Jira to enable reliable engineering metrics extraction into Jellyfish.
• Improve data hygiene (taxonomy, workflow consistency) to strengthen reporting quality.
• Partner with Engineering leadership to ensure metrics support delivery, productivity, capacity, and planning insights.
• Clarify dependencies across Jira, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Jellyfish reporting.
Governance, Intake & Operational Support
• Run a scalable intake and prioritization model for Atlassian requests.
• Balance team needs with enterprise governance and long-term maintainability.
• Define review and approval processes for workflow changes, automation, app usage, permissions, and platform configuration.
• Maintain standards, reusable patterns, and operational runbooks to keep changes controlled, traceable, and supportable.
Traceability & Compliance
• Design and implement traceability models across Jira, Confluence, and related tools.
• Improve visibility across requirements, delivery, testing, approvals, release readiness, and operational handover.
• Ensure workflows support regulated SDLC practices, auditability, and evidence collection where required.
• Partner with teams to keep traceability practical, scalable, and aligned to delivery.
Required Experience & Qualifications
• 5+ years in Atlassian administration, platform engineering, solutions architecture, DevOps, or SDLC tooling.
• Hands-on Atlassian Cloud experience (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management), including workflows, permissions, automation, dashboards, reporting, and apps.
• Experience designing and operating Atlassian Cloud solutions across multiple teams, products, or business units.
• Strong understanding of SDLC workflows across product, engineering delivery, QA/testing, release management, and operations.
• Proven ability to build scalable workflows, templates, automation rules, reporting models, and governance standards.
• Experience with Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or similar tools.
• Experience improving Jira data quality to support reporting, delivery metrics, and productivity insights.
• Ability to evaluate marketplace apps for value, security, scalability, and operational fit.
• Strong stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams.
• Clear documentation skills (standards, patterns, and operating processes).
Desired Experience & Qualifications
• Experience with Atlassian Rovo, Atlassian Intelligence, Atlassian MCP, or AI agent workflows.
• Experience with Jellyfish or similar engineering metrics platforms.
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps or developer productivity platforms.
• Experience in regulated environments (audit requirements, traceability models, controlled SDLC).
• Experience with Jira Plans, portfolio planning, capacity planning, and cross-team reporting.
• Experience managing Atlassian Cloud as an enterprise platform (beyond basic administration).
• Exposure to SaaS, healthcare tech, life sciences, or other regulated technology environments.
Personal Attributes
• Platform-minded: builds reusable solutions; avoids one-off patterns.
• Pragmatic: balances governance with speed and usability.
• Collaborative: partners effectively across Engineering, Product, QA, Operations, Platform, and business teams.
• Analytical: uses data and workflow insights to improve planning, delivery, and reporting.
• Detail-oriented: maintains high-quality documentation and standards.
• Customer-focused: reduces friction for internal users.
• Ownership-driven: accountable for platform outcomes.
• Curious: continuously improves how we use Atlassian, automation, and AI.
