We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Director of Engineering to join our organization in 6th of October City, Egypt. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee engineering operations, drive technical excellence, and mentor a talented team of engineers. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven management capabilities to lead our engineering initiatives and contribute to organizational growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Analyze complex technical challenges and implement strategic solutions that optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align engineering objectives with organizational goals and business requirements
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering operations and conduct regular performance reviews
• Develop and manage engineering budgets, allocate resources effectively, and control project expenditures
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols across all engineering functions
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices such as Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of long-term engineering roadmaps
• Maintain strong communication with senior management, stakeholders, and external partners regarding project status and technical matters
**Required Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
• Minimum 8-12 years of professional experience in engineering roles, with demonstrated expertise in project execution and technical problem-solving
• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience leading engineering teams
• Strong project management skills with proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in technical communication and the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of motivating and developing team members
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools (CAD, simulation software, or similar platforms)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with quality assurance and continuous improvement frameworks
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or process optimization environments
