Boeing Test and Evaluation team is currently looking for a UX (User Experience) designer to join their team in Bangalore. This team develops software applications and solutions for various phases of aircraft test life cycle.  Test & Evaluation engineers at Boeing make sure that products at the world’s largest aerospace company continue to meet the highest standards. From quality and reliability to safety and performance, their expertise is vital to the concept, design and certifications of a wide variety of commercial and military systems.

Position Responsibilities:

• Participate with higher level analyst/designer on project teams to create effective, usable and satisfying user experiences with information technology
• Participate in user-centered design activities
• Participate in conducting user research through interviews, field studies and surveys
• Assist in the definition of user requirements and usability goals
• Support and aid in the creation of user interaction design alternatives and the building of prototypes
• Participate in conducting usability tests, heuristic evaluations and other reviews to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of designs
• Diagnoses simple usability issues and recommends changes

Basic Qualification:

• 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience in UX (User Experience).
• Candidates with experience in Aviation domain will be preferred.
• Experience working in a global organization is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in Human computer Interaction/User Experience Design, or equivalent experience, is required
• Must have experience in most of the core UX skill areas for simplifying user experience, especially with a product-industry background
• Must be a self-starter with positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment
• Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing
• Must have experience in development of solutions through brainstorming, sketching, and creation of mockups and prototypes, regularly seeking feedback from the team
• Must have experience in participating in and leading UX research activities
• Must have hands-on work experience with Sketch, InVision or Figma
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to analyze and prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, UX specifications
• Must have experience in coordinating with various stakeholders viz product owners, business analysts, development and QA teams across multiple time-zones
• Must have strong teambuilding skills
• Must have experience in reviewing results of surveys and analytics to understand the impact on the products
• Good to have experience in conducting user interviews and usability tests
• Good to have applied experience using Apple HIG design standard or Google’s Material Design standards for web apps
• Good to have experience in creation of design systems
• Good to have experience in UX for e-commerce platforms
