Associate Scientist - Cell Based Assays

We currently have a vacancy for an Associate Scientist to join our Molecular Cell Biology Team in Dungarvan.

The main aim of the role is to carry out quality control testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with predefined quality and safety standards.

• Perform routine and non-routine analysis with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete test records on time, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for quality and service improvement; contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines and internal quality standards; ensure all activities are documented and traceable.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis and prepare Exception reports.
• Gain proficiency in assigned tests/areas of testing; maintain training records.
• Provide training to colleagues in techniques/tests where competency is proven.
• Provide cover for colleagues as required.
• Participate in weekend rota, overtime, and On-Call/Call-out schedules.
• Ensure customer requirements

 

• Strong attention to detail 
• Degree in molecular cell biology or related scientific discipline.
• At least 2 years experience with Cell Based Potency assays in GMP environment
• Organized, accurate, and strong documentation skills
• Good understanding of GMP
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Professionalism, quality consciousness, and willingness to learn
• Proactive, flexible, and customer-focused
• Excellent communication skills
