Job Description

Artech provides technical expertise to fill gaps in clients' immediate skill-sets availability, deliver emerging technology skill-sets, refresh existing skill base, allow for flexibility in project planning and execution phases, and provide budgeting/financial flexibility by offering contingent labor as a variable cost.

• A position is available in the Mass Spectrometry and Biophysical Characterization group in Analytical R&D.

• The qualified candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing methods of analysis for the characterization of proteins and peptides using advanced analytical techniques.

• The qualifications include a minimum of a B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field; industrial experience in analytical characterization is desirable.

• The qualified colleague must have knowledge in protein biochemistry and/or protein analytics, and should have expertise in one or more protein characterization tools, including mass spectrometry, chromatographic separations, or proteolytic mapping. These techniques will be applied to a large platform of projects in all stages of development.

• Attention to detail, focused, team oriented, independent, and good communication and writing skills are essential due to the highly matrixed, fast-paced, project-team environment. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

The qualifications include a minimum of a B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field; industrial experience in analytical characterization is desirable.
