About the role
The Quality Assurance team is responsible for the analysis of functional requirements and quality assurance of all new and updated feature implementations for Infoxchange’s client and case management application, referral portals and related web services.
You will be instrumental in integrating quality assurance (QA) into the requirements analysis process in order to ensure that all product development activities satisfy business objectives and user expectations. Your role extends beyond traditional QA responsibilities. In addition to software testing, you will be required to demonstrate a high degree of problem solving and analytical skills and take a strategic, deliberate approach to product development and testing.
You will:
Contribute to manual testing activities across the application, including functional, regression, UI, and exploratory testing.
Assist with the planning, execution, and documentation of test cases in line with project requirements.
Support and gradually contribute to test automation activities, including maintaining and extending existing automated test scripts under guidance.
Work collaboratively with developers, subject matter experts, and other QA team members to understand system behaviour and testing needs.
Execute test scripts and clearly log, track, and retest defects using agreed tools and processes.
Learn and apply automation frameworks to support smoke and regression testing, with mentoring from senior team members.
Assist in maintaining automated test suites to ensure ongoing reliability as the application evolves.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger (or willingness to learn).
Participate in sprint activities such as backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives to gain exposure to delivery processes.
Communicate effectively with developers to clarify defects, acceptance criteria, and expected behaviour.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve testing processes and quality outcomes.

About You:
To succeed in this role at Infoxchange, you will demonstrate:
Experience working within a SaaS-based environment.
Knowledge of QA processes and best practices.
Experienced in testing complex user interfaces, including manual browser, exploratory, UAT, and regression testing.
Experience in translating high-level business requirements into functional requirements with clear, concise and testable user stories.
Experience in conducting systems analysis for frontend and backend applications.
Experience in querying relational databases using SQL (preferably in PostgreSQL).
Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and practices, including Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD).
Experience with the following technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, SQL, RESTful APIs.
Skills and Capabilities
Essential
Understanding of software testing fundamentals
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Willingness to learn automation testing tools and frameworks
Desirable
Exposure to any test automation tool or programming language (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript)
Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts
Experience with API testing tools
